Q : Is a lease between a landlord and tenant become null and void if the landlord has no rental permit as required by law prior to renting a property. The property was never inspected and when the tenant moved in the place has multiple code violations? Does the landlord need this permit prior to renting and entering into a rental lease. It's not clear how we could possibly know from here, but in this mystery locality that requires a rental permit for every rental property, presumably so.
