Question about death at work Q : There has been a death in my family. He was a salesman and had been at work during death. The cause of death was declared to be a rupture of a major artery. Can there be any sort of compensation for such incident? A : My condolences on your family's loss. I'm not sure what type of compensation you are looking for. If the person had life insurance, privately or through the company, that policy will pay benefits upon his death. But if you want the employer to pay some form of compensation, unless it can be proven they were responsible for the death, they would not be liable for any payment.
